Pluripotent stem cells have enabled the creation of skin organoids, mimicking human skin complexity with features like hair follicles, glands, nerves, fat, and melanocytes. These organoids offer a platform for studying skin development, diseases, and drug screening. Despite potential clinical applications such as transplantation for wound treatment, challenges like lengthy differentiation protocols and product heterogeneity need addressing before skin organoids can fully realize their potential in dermatologic research and medicine.
