Neurological Point-of-Care Ultrasound (NeuroPOCUS) is gaining recognition but lacks standardized training methods. A systematic review of 4965 publications narrowed to 12 relevant studies found minimal evidence-based recommendations for teaching NeuroPOCUS in intensive care. While three prospective studies and four consensus statements were identified, significant variability in teaching methods was noted. Compared to other POCUS modalities, NeuroPOCUS is underutilized, and further research is needed to establish effective training and assessment strategies.
