This study assessed the restrictiveness of eligibility criteria in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) trials based on American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and Friends of Cancer Research (FCR) guidelines. From 423 trials between 2012-2022, 26.5% were analyzed. HIV (74.1%), HBV/HCV infections (53.6%), brain metastases (33.0%), and prior/concurrent malignancies (8.0%) were often excluded. ASCO‐FCR were made to align trial criteria with real-world patient populations for more inclusive data.
