The study examines the link between pre-diagnostic symptoms and colorectal cancer (CRC) sites, especially in patients below the recommended screening age. Analysis of 626 CRC patients revealed associations between symptoms and cancer site, with blood in stool correlating strongly with rectal cancer. Abdominal pain and anaemia were more common in colon cancer cases. Notably, blood in stool was significantly linked to rectal cancer in early-onset CRC patients (<50 years). Understanding these associations can improve early CRC detection, crucial in the context of rising early-onset cases.
