The study included 10,044 pregnant women and found that those with the lowest quintile of serum ALP levels (≤116 U/L) during late pregnancy had a 2.48 times higher risk of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) postpartum compared to those with the highest quintile (≥199 U/L). The negative association between ALP and VTE remained consistent in various sensitivity analyses. Additionally, the study revealed that hemoglobin mediated 7.59% of the ALP-associated VTE risk.
