A study conducted on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) reveals that socioeconomic deprivation is associated with sleep problems and higher glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) levels. The research analyzed data from 17,206 participants and found that those with high deprivation had increased odds of experiencing sleep difficulties and comorbid sleep problems. Additionally, they had a 0.1% higher HbA1c level. The study suggests that socioeconomic deprivation may contribute to poor sleep health among T2DM patients
