The study investigated the relationship between tea and coffee consumption and mortality in individuals with metabolic syndrome (MetS). Over a median follow-up of 13.87 years with 118,872 participants, findings revealed an inverse association between tea intake and all-cause/cancer mortality, suggesting a potential protective effect. For coffee, a U-shaped nonlinear association was observed, with lower mortality risk at moderate consumption. Notably, the combined intake of tea and coffee demonstrated a protective effect against all-cause mortality. The study underscores the potential health benefits of daily tea and moderate coffee consumption for individuals with MetS.
