The study investigates the link between serum uric acid to creatinine ratio (sUA/Cr) and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in non-obese individuals without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The study analyzed 21,996 participants and revealed a positive correlation between sUA/Cr and MAFLD in non-obese patients without T2DM. Notably, sUA/Cr demonstrates predictive value for MAFLD in this group, especially in individuals over 60 years old. The findings suggest that monitoring sUA/Cr could be crucial for assessing MAFLD risk in non-obese individuals without T2DM.
