A study analyzed data from 7317 patients with heart failure and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) to assess the impact of resting heart rate (RHR) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) on outcomes. High RHR (≥75 bpm) combined with low SBP (<110 mmHg) was linked to the worst cardiovascular outcomes, including death and hospitalization for heart failure. Low-risk patients with low RHR (<75 bpm) and high SBP (≥110 mmHg) received better adherence to guideline-recommended medications but still faced suboptimal treatment. This research highlights the importance of monitoring RHR and SBP in HFrEF patients for improved cardiovascular care.
