A study revealed the potential effectiveness of the interleukin-5 (IL-5) receptor inhibitor bevacizumab in treating eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA). The study involved 121 patients across six countries, and results showed a complete response in 46.4% of patients after 12 months. These findings suggest benralizumab is a promising real-world treatment for EGPA. While further trials are needed, this study highlights the drug's potential in managing this challenging condition.
