A groundbreaking development in thyroid nodule management has emerged. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a proven minimally invasive therapy, has showcased remarkable safety when addressing thyroid nodules. A recent study introduces the first-ever series of RFA for bilateral thyroid nodules in a single session. In this pioneering study, 12 patients participated, with six receiving RFA in a single setting, while the rest underwent the procedure separately. The results were astonishingly similar, demonstrating a mean volume reduction rate (VRR) at 6 months of approximately 64%, with no reported complications.
