Researchers found that higher doses of oral semaglutide, a blood sugar medication, are associated with better control over blood sugar levels and more weight loss than lower doses. Researchers found that once-daily doses of 25 mg and 50 mg were more effective in reducing blood sugar levels and promoting weight loss than the lowest dose of 14 mg. Participants taking the higher doses lost an average of 8 kilograms, while those taking the lowest dose lost about 4.5 kilograms. However, side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation were reported, especially with higher doses.
