The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has issued a drug alert, highlighting 62 medicine batches that failed random drug sample tests in September. These samples, including well-known drugs like Moxiflox-D Eye Drops and RABEKIND-20, were declared 'Not of Standard Quality.' Reasons for the failures included assay, dissolution, disintegration, and sterility test failures. The samples were analyzed in five different laboratories. This development sheds light on concerns over the quality of pharmaceuticals in India, emphasizing the need for stricter quality control measures in the healthcare industry.
