Cervical sliding sign at second trimester in the prediction of early preterm birth in twin pregnancy

A new study suggests that the cervical sliding sign (CSS) combined with cervical length (CL) measurements can effectively predict preterm birth (PB) in twin pregnancies. Results showed that CSS positivity had a sensitivity of 75.0% and a specificity of 82.2% in predicting early PB (before 32 weeks of gestation). Multivariate analysis confirmed that CSS positivity was the sole significant independent factor associated with early PB.
