A recent study evaluated the glycaemia risk index (GRI) and its association with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) metrics in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) after starting an automated insulin delivery (AID) system. The study found that GRI and its components decreased significantly after AID initiation. The GRI was inversely correlated with time in range and correlated with time above range. All CGM metrics improved after AID initiation, with greater improvement observed during nighttime.
