
The article discusses the increasing number of children with complex conditions being cared for at home by parents, leading to negative impacts on maternal health. The study interviewed seven mothers to understand their experiences and decision-making processes, and identified seven themes. The study highlights the importance of early discussion of priorities and written plans to ensure fair access to treatment. The mothers emphasized the need for increased support and permission to explore decisions during times of vulnerability. Sharing their stories enhanced their sense of coping and purpose.
