China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved Innovent Biologics and IASO Bio's CAR-T therapy, equecabtagene autoleucel (Fucaso), for treating relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM). According to GlobalData, there are currently 155 CAR-T therapies in various stages of development in China. Two CAR-T therapies for multiple myeloma are in the pre-registration stage. Including homegrown CAR-T therapies in China's National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL) will enhance accessibility and affordability for patients.
