The present review aimed to assess the presence and quality of rehabilitation recommendations for children with cancer. The study identified 28 reports, including 18 guidelines and 10 expert consensus reports, published between January 2000 and August 2022. The reports covered various aspects of rehabilitation, such as referral, evaluation, and intervention, for different cancer types and related impairments. The recommendations focused on areas like fatigue, neurocognition, pain management, psychosocial support, and long-term follow-up care. High-level evidence supported rehabilitation recommendations for long-term follow-up, fatigue, and psychosocial/mental health screening. However, there were relatively few intervention recommendations in the reports, highlighting the need to involve pediatric oncology rehabilitation providers in guideline development. The review's findings contribute to the availability and clarity of guidelines, facilitating access to rehabilitation services for children with cancer and preventing or mitigating cancer-related disabilities.
