Relmapirazin, a fluorescent compound designed for point-of-care glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurement, was validated in a clinical study involving 120 adults with varying chronic kidney disease stages. Compared to iohexol, relmapirazin showed excellent correlation (r²=0.99) and agreement in GFR measurement. Relmapirazin's GFR determination was unaffected by chronic kidney disease stage or race, with no severe adverse events reported, making it a viable GFR tracer in humans.
