The study analyzed data from 68,505 eligible patients and 1047 clinicians; the study found that Statin Choice was used in 7% of cases. Patient factors, such as age, race, and sex, were associated with clinician use of Statin Choice, with 53% of the variation attributed to individual clinicians. These findings underscore the need for tailored strategies to enhance SDM tool implementation, considering patient-specific factors and addressing clinician variability.
