Co-Production Methods Enhance Sleep Research and Interventions

Co-Production Methods Enhance Sleep Research and Interventions

The scoping review investigated the use of co-production methods in sleep research, emphasizing collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and community partners. Sixteen studies were reviewed, with 10 using qualitative co-production methods to design sleep interventions and 6 focusing on establishing sleep as a research priority. Most studies utilized consultation approaches, with limited use of co-design teams. Key limitations included small sample sizes, researcher-driven topics, and COVID-19 challenges. The review advocates for incorporating co-production throughout the research process to improve intervention outcomes and better address the needs of research populations.
