Cognitive Dysfunction in Post-COVID-19 Survivors: Clinical and Neurophysiological Insights

The study investigates cognitive dysfunction in post-COVID-19 survivors with subjective complaints, utilizing both clinical and neurophysiological assessments. Findings reveal significantly lower scores in cognitive tests among survivors compared to controls, along with elevated Theta/Beta ratio and decreased interhemispheric coherence in certain brain regions. The severity of COVID-19 infection correlates with worsened cognitive deficits, suggesting a link between hypoxia and cognitive impairment. These results emphasize the importance of objective assessment in understanding post-COVID cognitive dysfunction.
