The review evaluated the efficacy of intravitreal anti-VEGF therapies for neovascular AMD. Network meta-analyses of 49 RCTs showed that no anti-VEGF drug provided superior visual outcomes compared to monthly ranibizumab. However, therapies like brolucizumab, aflibercept, and faricimab demonstrated small but significant improvements in central retinal thickness (CRT) and reduced injection frequency. Faricimab 6 mg and aflibercept 8 mg offered the best balance between visual outcomes and treatment burden.
