This study compares the clinical and subjective outcomes of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) and penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) for corneal diseases. A cohort of 97 patients undergoing either procedure was analyzed for visual acuity, complications, and patient satisfaction. The results showed that DALK, mainly performed for keratoconus, led to better postoperative visual acuity, lower risk of graft rejection, and similar patient satisfaction compared to PKP, emphasizing its advantages in selective cases.
