Cardiovascular mortality following high-risk myocardial infarction has significantly improved, while non-cardiovascular death rates remain unchanged. In an analysis of VALIANT and PARADISE-MI trials, all-cause mortality was substantially lower in PARADISE-MI, with PCI use being a key factor in this reduction. This study highlights the positive impact of advancements in cardiovascular care, particularly PCI, on survival rates, suggesting the need for continued efforts to standardize care.
