A randomized controlled trial compared a mix-and-match method versus using the same vaccine for the third dose in Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) recipients who had received two doses of the BNT162b2 vaccine. The study found that there was no statistically significant difference in immunogenicity between the two vaccine protocols for SARS-CoV-2 IgG positivity 1 month after the third dose. However, the mix-and-match method showed a relatively lower geometric mean titer compared to the uniform vaccine.
