A study compared the effectiveness of two treatments for adductor spasmodic dysphonia (AdSD): botulinum toxin injections and type 2 thyroplasty (TP2) with TITANBRIDGE®. Out of 73 AdSD patients, 52 chose botulinum toxin injections, while 32 opted for TP2. The patients' voice quality was evaluated using the Voice Handicap Index (VHI)‐10 at various time points. The results showed that both treatments led to improvements in symptoms. However, the TP2 group had a significantly better VHI-10 score at 12 weeks compared to the botulinum toxin group. These findings suggest that TP2 could be a promising long-term treatment option for AdSD.
