A study delved into the benefits of complete revascularization in older patients (≥75 years) with myocardial infarction and multivessel disease. The study randomly assigned patients to physiology-guided complete revascularization or culprit-lesion-only treatment during percutaneous coronary intervention. The results revealed that complete revascularization significantly reduced the risk of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, or revascularization at one year. Furthermore, the combined incidence of cardiovascular death or myocardial infarction was notably lower in the complete-revascularization group.
