Researchers have developed a robust risk assessment model for acute kidney injury (AKI) in intensive care unit (ICU) patients with acute pancreatitis (AP). Analyzing data from 963 AP patients, the study integrated variables such as weight, SOFA score, white blood cell count, albumin, chronic heart failure, and sepsis into the model. The resulting nomogram exhibited a high predictive accuracy (C-index: 0.82) and strong consistency between predicted and observed outcomes. This model, validated through calibration plots and decision curve analysis, identifies key risk factors and could enhance AKI prevention and treatment strategies for ICU patients with AP.
