A study examined COVID-19's impact on adolescent mental health and sleep quality in a rural area. Researchers surveyed 109 high school students in Sagaracipta Village, Bandung, using the SDQ and PSQI questionnaires. Results revealed 70.6% had poor sleep quality, correlating with emotional, behavioral, hyperactivity issues (coefficients: 0.247, 0.258, 0.22) and overall difficulties (coefficient: 0.310). Abnormal scores were noted in emotional (22%), conduct (16.5%), hyperactivity (4.6%), problems with peers (13.8%), and total difficulty (23.9%) subscales. Pro-social subscale had no abnormalities. Findings underline a significant link between sleep quality and adolescent mental health during the pandemic in rural areas.
