CPAP Lowers Central and Office BP in OSA Patients

The MORPHEOS trial assessed CPAP vs. placebo in patients with moderate-to-severe OSA and uncontrolled hypertension despite adherence to antihypertensives. Over 6 months, CPAP significantly reduced office and central diastolic BP compared to nasal dilator strips. While ambulatory BP reductions weren’t statistically significant, BP control rates improved. These findings highlight CPAP’s role in enhancing BP control in this high-risk group.
