This study evaluates whether longitudinal monitoring of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) can detect progression in EGFR mutation-positive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) earlier than radiologic methods. Analyzing data from two trials, ctDNA progression (PD) was found to precede or occur with radiologic PD in approximately 60% of patients. Median time from ctDNA to radiologic PD was 1.5 to 6 months, suggesting ctDNA's potential as an early indicator of progression.
