In a phase 2 trial, pediatric patients with low-grade glioma and BRAF V600 mutations received either dabrafenib plus trametinib or standard chemotherapy as first-line therapy. Dabrafenib plus trametinib showed significantly more responses, longer progression-free survival, and better safety than chemotherapy. These findings suggest a promising alternative treatment for pediatric low-grade glioma with BRAF V600 mutations.
