This study explores generational and gender distinctions in Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD) subtypes among East Asian patients. Examining 1717 TMD patients across three generations (Gen X, Y, Z) in China and South Korea, significant differences emerged in the prevalence of arthralgia, myalgia, headaches, and disc displacements. Generation Z exhibited fewer pain-related and more intra-articular conditions. Female patients, regardless of generation, demonstrated higher frequencies of degenerative joint disease and intra-articular conditions.
