De-escalating dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) to ticagrelor monotherapy reduced bleeding risk without increasing ischemic events in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) undergoing drug-eluting stent implantation. In a study of 9130 patients, ticagrelor monotherapy had a lower bleeding rate (0.8% vs. 2.5%), with no significant difference in ischemic outcomes (1.7% vs. 2.1%). These results were consistent across STEMI, NSTEMI, and unstable angina patients.
