Decade‐long trends in prostate cancer biopsy grade groups and treatment within a population‐based registry

The study analyzed changes in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer (PCa) over a decade (2011-2020) using data from a clinical-quality cancer registry. The results showed a significant decrease in the proportion of low-grade PCa (GG 1) diagnoses, particularly in younger men. There was also decreased interventional management for GG 1 disease, with low percentages of prostatectomies and primary radiation therapy. These findings reflect the implementation of changes in diagnostic and treatment guidelines and inform future treatment methods for PCa.
