This study identified inflammatory biomarkers for early sepsis detection caused by Gram-negative bacteria. Among 147 patients in the intensive care unit, blood cultures showed 51.7% positivity for Gram-negative bacteria, with P. aeruginosa being the most common. Extended-spectrum β-lactamase was found in 77.2% of isolates. Key biomarkers included procalcitonin (88.16%), adrenomedullin (84.21%), pentraxin-3 (22.37%), and lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (11.84%), highlighting their potential for early diagnosis and improved patient outcomes in sepsis.
