After lumbar decompression surgery for spinal stenosis, 80 patients were studied to identify factors influencing long-term disability. The study found a strong association between disability and pain-related anxiety, functional reach test (FRT), and modified Sorensen test scores. Pain-related anxiety emerged as the primary indicator of disability, emphasizing its importance in post-surgery rehabilitation programs. The study suggests comprehensive evaluation of physical performance post-surgery and highlights the significance of addressing pain-related anxiety for better patient outcomes.
