The study compared cylindrical and convex triangular field-of-views (FOVs) in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) regarding artefact magnitudes from high-density materials. Cylindrical and convex triangular FOVs were tested using different materials in a phantom. Results showed that the convex triangular FOV increased artefact magnitudes compared to the cylindrical FOV, with variability among materials and positions.
