Private drug developer Sevier Group announced positive results for its experimental brain cancer treatment, vorasidenib. The treatment has shown significant progress in slowing the progression of grade 2 glioma, a type of malignant brain tumor. In a study involving 331 patients who had not received prior treatment apart from surgery, vorasidenib delayed tumor growth for a median of 27.7 months compared to 11.1 months with a placebo. The drug also improved progression-free survival and delayed the need for further anticancer interventions like chemotherapy and radiation. Vorasidenib has received fast track designation from the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the company is planning to submit a New Drug Application (NDA) to the FDA. Sevier Group acquired vorasidenib as part of its acquisition of Agios Pharmaceuticals Inc's cancer business in 2020.

Educational and communication-based screen time were associated with lower odds of delays in selected developmental domains. The findings highlight the importance of limiting recreational screen exposure and encouraging age-appropriate, interactive digital activities.
