Dual-Tracer PET/CT Identifies Genetic and Clinical Features in Prostate Cancer

The study explored the clinical and genetic characteristics of prostate cancer patients using dual-tracer PET/CT (18F-DCFPyL and 18F-FDG) and next-generation sequencing. Patients with DCFPyL-FDG+ lesions were more likely to have visceral metastases, be in the castration-resistant phase (CRPC), and exhibit TP53 and/or RB1 mutations. The study suggests that dual-tracer PET/CT is crucial for assessing tumor burden and prognosis, especially in patients with specific genetic mutations.
