This registry-based study examined early-life pulmonary exacerbations in children with cystic fibrosis. Using data from over 7,300 patients, the analysis identified risk factors linked to exacerbations in the first three years of life, including pancreatic insufficiency and early respiratory infections. Pulmonary exacerbations in early childhood were associated with lower lung function at age six and poorer nutritional status at age three.
