
A study analyzing over 15,000 individuals with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes found that ≥10% weight loss significantly improved glycaemic control and tripled remission rates. While weight loss alone didn’t lower complications, remission was linked to a reduced risk of microvascular issues. These findings highlight the critical role of early weight management in diabetes care.
