The study investigated the efficacy of a three-day course of dexamethasone in reducing the incidence of acute phase response (APR) in patients receiving zoledronate. The study found that dexamethasone significantly reduced the temperature change from baseline, APR-related symptom scores, and the incidence of fever in comparison to placebo. The study concluded that a three-day course of dexamethasone is effective in reducing APR following zoledronate infusion.
