Effect of Dapagliflozin on Health Status and Quality‐of‐Life Across the Spectrum of Ejection Fraction: Participant‐Level Pooled Analysis from the DAPA‐HF & DELIVER Trials

The study investigated the effects of dapagliflozin, a medication used to treat heart failure, on the health status of patients with varying degrees of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Pooled data from two clinical trials were analyzed, including patients with reduced and preserved LVEF. The Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ) was used to assess health status. The results showed that dapagliflozin improved all aspects of health status regardless of LVEF. Patients treated with dapagliflozin experienced fewer deteriorations and more improvements in health status compared to those on placebo. These findings demonstrate the potential benefits of dapagliflozin across the entire LVEF spectrum.
