A recent study evaluated the effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) on diabetic foot ulcers. Results showed a negative correlation between the number of HBOT sessions and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH) and Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN). Parameters such as White Blood Cell Count (WBC), Platelet Count (PLT), and C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels decreased, while lymphocytes increased post-treatment. Additionally, Glucose (Glu) and CRP levels decreased significantly. The study concluded that HBOT improved hematological indices and biochemical parameters, suggesting its potential as an adjuvant therapy for diabetic inflammation.
