This retrospective study evaluated the impact of repeated intravitreal injections (IVI) of an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) agent on glaucomatous progression in eyes with glaucoma spectrum diseases (GSD). The analysis found that while retinal nerve fiber layer thickness decreased significantly in both injected and uninjected eyes, repeated IVI did not show a significant difference in glaucomatous progression. Factors like baseline retinal nerve fiber layer thickness were associated with greater absolute thickness loss. The study suggests that further investigations with extended follow-up are necessary to fully understand the long-term effects of repeated IVI.

Current care emphasizes diagnosis, limited targeted testing, disease monitoring and stepwise treatment, beginning with second-generation H1-antihistamines and up-dosing when needed. Omalizumab and newer therapies such as dupilumab and remibrutinib expand options for refractory disease, while future care may be guided by biomarkers and disease endotypes.

A retrospective study of 33 women with postpartum hemorrhage during cesarean delivery found that uterine compression sutures achieved hemostasis in 69.7% of cases.
