![Effectiveness of [11C]C-MET and [13N]N-NH3 PET/CT in Recurrent Secreting Pituitary Adenoma Management](https://d3typ5yqytip29.cloudfront.net/article/doctor-talking-about-covid-infection-FSG3BAK.jpg?format=webp&width=780)
Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) using [13N]N-ammonia ([13N]N-NH3) and [11C]C-methionine ([11C]C-MET) was investigated for managing recurrent secreting pituitary adenomas not detectable by MRI or [18F]F-FDG PET. Nine patients underwent both scans. [11C]C-MET showed higher uptake in adenomas, while [13N]N-NH3 showed higher uptake in pituitary tissue. Concordance between imaging and surgical findings was observed in four patients, guiding successful treatment decisions. Combined [11C]C-MET and [13N]N-NH3 PET/CT effectively differentiated adenomas, offering valuable insights for disease management.
