
This study employed mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to investigate the causal effects of various cardiometabolic exposures on atrioventricular block (AV-block) and evaluated the potential mediation role of coronary artery disease (CAD) in these causal pathways. The findings revealed that genetically predicted elevation of body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were significantly associated with an increased risk of AV-block.
