The study aimed to compare the efficacy of a novel ultrasonic irrigation device (RINSE system) with sonically- and ultrasonically-activated irrigation systems in removing biofilm-mimicking hydrogel from a simulated isthmus model. The RINSE system was found to be significantly more effective than the other irrigation systems in removing hydrogel, and its efficacy was not reliant on the insert or tip entering the pulp chamber or root canal, making it a useful tool in conservative endodontics.
